Heirloomly was founded in Chiang Mai after the founder spent several weeks helping an elderly relative work through decades of accumulated household papers following a family bereavement. The experience was instructive. Most of the documents were perfectly fine — they were simply nowhere in particular. Land title deeds were mixed in with utility receipts. Photographs shared a drawer with expired insurance policies. A handwritten note explaining the provenance of a carved wooden box had long since been separated from the box itself.
What became clear was that the difficulty wasn't unusual and it wasn't caused by any failure of organisation. Life simply accumulates faster than most of us can keep up with. What was needed wasn't a professional organiser with a clipboard, but a patient, knowledgeable companion who understood both the practical side of household documents and the care required when working around things that hold real sentimental weight.
That is what Heirloomly offers. We work slowly and attentively. We ask about the story behind things as much as we ask about where to file them. We understand Thai household documentation — chanote, tabien baan, and the various other formats that commonly appear in Northern Thailand — and we work comfortably in bilingual settings. We do not rush, and we never treat a visit as a transaction.

Strict Confidentiality
We do not retain, copy or share your documents. Every piece of paper we handle stays in your possession. We sign a straightforward confidentiality agreement before any session begins.
Clear Session Documentation
At the end of each session we provide a brief written note of what was covered, what decisions were made and what still needs attention — so nothing gets lost between appointments.
Scope Boundaries
We are clear about what we do and don't do. We help organise documents — we don't interpret them legally or offer advice about their contents. When a question is outside our scope, we say so plainly.
Paced to You, Not Us
Sessions move at the pace of the family involved. Some people work quickly; others need to pause and reflect. Both are completely fine and both are accounted for in how we plan our time.
Secure Handling of Originals
Original documents are always returned to their owner at the end of a session, along with clear labelling and storage guidance so they're easy to locate in future.

Many families come to us at emotionally difficult times. We are trained to work quietly and carefully around grief, and to let family members set the tone for every interaction.
Estate Organisation in Northern Thailand
Families across Chiang Mai and the wider North manage household documents that span multiple generations, multiple languages and multiple property types. Land title deeds, vehicle ownership papers, family registration books and personal correspondence all sit alongside photographs, jewellery and hand-crafted objects passed down through households over decades. Knowing what you have, where it is, and what the story behind it might be — these are things that matter enormously when families face transitions, whether that's a house move, a change in ownership or simply the passing of time.
Heirloomly was built around that reality. Our approach to estate organisation is grounded in the actual variety of what families accumulate, not in a standardised filing system designed for an office. We bring familiarity with Thai administrative document formats together with a genuine interest in the personal and historical weight that household items carry. The two don't need to be separate — an organised home can hold its stories just as well as a disorganised one, and far more accessibly.
We work with expat families, Thai families and mixed households equally. Our sessions are conducted in English, and we work comfortably alongside Thai-speaking family members. We do not offer legal, financial or notarial services, and we are transparent about that distinction. What we offer is time, attention and a methodical approach to helping you understand what you have and where to keep it.
